Chapter 11 - The Dynamics in Responding to Leadership.There exist three structures in which a society can find leadership, that it must respond to, by which it can rise up and improve itself until that moment occurs when it is prepared to take a quantum jump, or paradigm shift in thinking, to the next higher level of leadership. The leadership is not personal, in such cases, but is provided by the successive structures for scientific and spiritual development. The leadership that these structures provide reflects the demands of absolute principles, rather than arbitrary personal demands. The three structures in which humanity can find leadership, correspond to the four dimensions of spiritual perception that were touched upon in Volume 6a, the highest of which is the forth dimension, of Spirit, where man comes to light as the "Son of God, the Messiah, or Christ" as Mary Baker Eddy had put it. The lowest dimension is the sphere of self-confinement and conflicts that is devoid of leadership. It is a sphere of insanity by which society destroys itself as it had done so in past ages. The world is presently approaching this stage at which its self-destruction may occur in spite of all ongoing unfolding of true leadership. This self-destruction occurs whenever the existing leadership fails to reach the critical momentum. This self-destructive, self-confined state of existence reflects the current state of society in many parts of the world. In today's world countless human beings are readily sacrificed for profits that have no meaning, by which the survival of nations is disregarded for the higher priority of saving the currently dying world-financial system. By this madness the very continuity of life on this planet is put in doubt as the physical structures that support human life are being destroyed while humanity is facing the strain of the still existing (and newly deployed) nuclear weapons that are controlled by the same insane elements that have already demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice entire nations to protect the systems by which they are looting the world. This type of insanity produces a dismal state of affairs, indeed. It appears therefore (mistakenly so) that one might define a still lower form of existence on the scale of spirituality. It appears that a lower state could be defined which represents fascism and dictatorial oligarchism, both of which have murdered humanity in huge numbers for centuries. Except this notion is wrong, and most deadly so. It is deadly, because it creates a false target. The battle cry should be, don't fight the despot-kings, fight the insanity that allows the despot-kings to rule. The only valid target that one may aim at, that one must defeat, is the homogenous insanity that already includes in its sphere all the elements of destruction that are presently tolerated, such as oligarchism, fascism, globalism, etc., which represent a void of spirituality, or insanity in a scientific sense. The fact is, there is no lower state possible than that which has been presently attained by large segments of society, at which society becomes self-destructive. Society cannot sink lower than that. This state, at which no spirituality is reflected, is an absolute state, as absolute as darkness. Such a state has no definable structure by which redemption could occur. Still, it is not beyond the reach of the leadership that naturally unfolds in the three higher dimensions.
