Instead of building and rebuilding the infrastructures for living, the present society has so withdrawn itself from the reality that supports its existence and become addicted to dreaming that this evil is presently enforced with great intensity. The evidence is everywhere. The financial system of the world is no longer engaged in supporting the physical economy that sustains life, but robs it intensively. The banks have become gambling centers, and the society's deposits in the banks have been put on the gambling tables while the roulette wheel spins. It doesn't seem to bother anyone that the average commercial bank's exposure in derivatives gambling is many times greater than all its depositors' assets combined. Usually the banks win in this game, often handsomely, because the banking sector controls the odds on the financial scene when everything goes normally. But when the game turns awry, the bank's huge profits become immensely huge losses that will help to disintegrate the whole interlocked world-financial system.
In its awful greed, society actually cheers when the stock market's value rises, as it does on a near exponential scale. Society doesn't recognize that stock indexes indicate the intensity of financial looting that is being perpetrated against it. Nor does society care that ever greater amounts of cash-inflow must be squeezed out of the real economy in order to maintain the necessary increase in value that keeps the bubble afloat - that keeps the 'investors' locked into this pyramid scheme that the stock-related markets have become. According to all evidence nobody cares about the cost of this game to the physical economy, that is draining the society's life-blood into the gambling market, and what will happen when the huge inflow into the market ends, when the illusion evaporates that enables the investors to command ever higher prices for their financial papers, when these papers will resume their real value which is in many cases the pulp value of the paper on which the notes are printed.
At the present time the world is in a true crisis situation as its strongly interlocked financial house, built to insane heights, is shaking at its foundation. During the last years many tremors have been felt throughout the system. In every case, emergency measures have been hastily enacted to repair the system. Many of these measures have come at a great cost in human terms as ever greater portions of the population have been driven into poverty, deprivation, even death, while the patch-up measures become more and more bizarre, showing an increase in insanity. Just think, can anything be fundamentally corrected by introducing evermore imaginative pyramid schemes into the system in an effort to hide the physical and social collapse that these schemes have created? Today, the entire world-financial system hangs on the thin thread of maintaining illusions that are self-evidently false.
What a wonderful foundation for civilization the West has created for itself with the 'tool' of speculation! The global society should be alarmed, because patch-up measures work only to a point, the point at which the house of cards collapses. The fundamental reality is, that the current system cannot be saved. By its underlying nature, the type of system that is currently running the world, is self-destructive. It is a terminal system, and it is functioning according to its design. No repair can be made to this system to prevent its natural self-destruction. It cannot be saved by any means. It is similar to a terminal patient. Death is a certainty, the only question is: when?
Mankind has but two options.
One is to reject the present system. For this, mankind must restructure itself onto a renaissance defined basis of infinite economy. The other option is to do nothing. This is the default option. It includes patching the system up until it disintegrates - which, in real terms amounts to doing nothing.
